Kory William Brueggemann, Beloved Son and Brother, Passes Away at 27 in Washington, MO
Kory William Brueggemann, a cherished member of the Washington, Missouri community, tragically passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 27. Known for his vibrant spirit and deep love for his family, Kory’s sudden passing has left those who knew him heartbroken.
Kory is survived by his parents, Kenneth Brueggemann and Karen Hedgecorth (Steve), as well as his siblings, Kaycie Schulte (Alex), Kortney Lympus (Kale), and Kullen Brueggemann. His grandparents, Kathy Steiner and Robert Brueggemann, along with his nieces and nephews, Theodore and Stella Schulte, also survive him. The support and love of his extended family and friends are a testament to the deep impact Kory had on all who crossed his path.
In a heartfelt message on social media, his friend Melanie Schmidt wrote, "Kory had such a big heart. I can’t believe we’ve lost him, and my thoughts are with his family and friends during this devastating time."
A visitation will be held on October 1st, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on October 2nd from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka, Missouri. A mass and graveside service will follow, as Kory is laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas.
Kory’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community, who will always cherish the moments shared with him.
