Rogers was one of three victims who lost their lives during the event, which also left five individuals injured. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the shooter, identified as 40-year-old Nigel Edge of Oak Island, fired into the crowd while aboard a boat nearby. Edge was apprehended later that evening.
