Louie Miotto, Kindhearted and Selfless Individual, Passes Away Unexpectedly in Chesterton, IN
Louie Miotto passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, leaving his family, friends, and community in deep sorrow. Known for his generosity and willingness to help others, Louie’s sudden departure has left a significant void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Described as someone who would give anything to help a person in need, Louie was always ready to lend a hand to strangers, neighbors, and loved ones alike. Jeanne Brueck, the organizer of a memorial fundraiser in Louie's honor, shared that Louie would often go out of his way to assist anyone in trouble, including stopping to help strangers on the side of the road, no matter the situation.
“Louie was such a lover and a helper; he would give you the Gucci shoes off his feet if you were in need and never think twice,” Jeanne wrote. “He never said NO.”
In light of the heartbreaking loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. Jeanne expressed her appreciation for the outpouring of love, knowing that the community will come together to support Louie’s family during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be announced soon, and details will be shared by the family when available.
