Marilyn Green, Beloved Wife, Mother, and Horse Lover, Passes Away at 54 in Lebanon, TN
Marilyn Kay Harless Green, aged 54, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Lebanon, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love for her family and a lifelong passion for horses. Marilyn was born on June 5, 1971, in Bristol, Tennessee, to Gladys and Harold Harles.
She is remembered for her kind and free-spirited nature, which she carried throughout her life. Marilyn was a devoted wife to her husband, Rooster Green, with whom she shared 27 years of marriage. Together, they raised three sons and nurtured their love for animals, particularly horses.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Rooster, sons Nicholas (Amy) Crossfield, Don R. (Lara) Green, and Austin (Hannah) Green, along with grandchildren Conner (Hailey) Green, Khloe Green, Hunter Crossfield, and Collins Crossfield. Her family also includes her sister Cynthia Harles, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who adored her.
Marilyn's funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon, TN. Friends and family will gather from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for visitation, with the service commencing at 6:00 p.m.
Her memory will live on through the love she shared with her family and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures.
