Shirley and Arlen Erickson, Beloved Couple from Wausau, WI, Tragically Die in a Vehicle Collision
The Wausau, Wisconsin community is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Shirley Erickson, 81, and her husband, Arlen Erickson, 82, who tragically passed away in a two-vehicle crash on the evening of Friday, September 26, 2025.
The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 52 and Forest Lawn Road. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, where Shirley and Arlen were both sadly pronounced dead upon arrival. Their long-time home of Wausau, and their deep connection to the community, has been left in mourning.
In addition to Shirley and Arlen, two others were injured in the crash. One sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, while another was treated at the scene.
