Alvino Ray Arambulo Tragically Passes Away in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Incident
Alvino Ray Arambulo, a 48-year-old man from Bakersfield, tragically lost his life on September 15th in a fatal hit-and-run accident.
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Arambulo was struck by a vehicle while walking north of the intersection of Bernard Street and Union Avenue around 10:20 p.m. on that fateful evening. Arambulo was not in a designated crosswalk when the first vehicle hit him.
While lying on the roadway, a second vehicle struck Arambulo. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that the first driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They reported no signs of impairment or excessive speed in relation to the first collision. Unfortunately, the second driver, who is believed to have been driving a silver or light-colored Honda Civic, fled the scene.
The Bakersfield Police Department is actively seeking any information regarding the second driver.
A memorial service and funeral arrangements will be announced by Arambulo’s family in the coming days.
