Josephine Gieske Tragically Passes Away in Fatal Montgomery County Car Crash
Josephine Gieske, a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, tragically passed away on August 22nd, 2025, following a devastating car crash in Montgomery County.
The incident occurred on August 7th, when a multi-vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Randolph Road and Sherwood Forest Drive. Josephine was a passenger in a red 2011 Toyota 4-Runner, which was struck by a silver 2025 Toyota GR86 traveling westbound.
The impact caused the 4-Runner to roll violently and crash into a black 2025 Buick Envista. Emergency responders rushed Josephine to a nearby medical facility with severe injuries. Despite their best efforts, she succumbed to her injuries 15 days later.
The crash also left the 4-Runner's driver with serious injuries, and they were transported to the hospital for treatment.
