Kham Bouanhuenh, Beloved Grandpa and Patriarch, Battles Cancer in Final Stages in Anchorage, AK
Kham Bouanhuenh, a cherished patriarch and grandfather, is currently fighting his final battle with lymphoma Hodgkin cancer. After bravely overcoming cancer once before, Kham’s family was devastated to learn that it had returned in a more aggressive form, spreading throughout his body.
In his final days, Kham is receiving hospice care at home in Anchorage, surrounded by his loving family, especially his devoted wife, who has been by his side throughout their 60 years together. His family describes him as the heart of their home, someone who brought laughter and strength to their lives.
“We are focused on making sure every day counts,” his granddaughter Cynthia Bouanhuenh wrote in a GoFundMe campaign created to support Kham during this challenging time. The family is seeking assistance for hospice care, medical expenses, and end-of-life arrangements, as well as support for Kham’s wife as she prepares for life without her beloved partner.
The Bouanhuenh family expresses their deep gratitude for the kindness and support from their community during this heartbreaking chapter of their lives. The loss of Kham will leave a significant void, but his legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
