Scott William Heimann, Beloved Hays Resident, Dies Suddenly at Age 32
Scott William Heimann, a cherished member of the Hays community, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was 32 years old.
Scott's sudden death has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends. Those who knew him remember Scott for his kind nature and his unwavering dedication to his loved ones. His family, friends, and the community are mourning the loss of a person who touched so many lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Gross Memorial Coliseum. Father Fred Gatschet will officiate the service, with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with a vigil service and rosary at 6:30 PM.
Scott leaves behind children, and memorials are suggested for their education, with checks payable to F.O.P. Lodge 48.
In a Facebook tribute, family friend Carolyn expressed, "Our hearts are heavy with this loss. Scott was a great friend, and we'll miss him deeply." Another friend, Mark, added, "Scott's kindness and love for his family were evident in everything he did. Our thoughts are with his family during this time of sorrow."
