Kevin Apeck, Beloved Albany Resident, Dies Tragically Following Scooter Collision
The community of Albany is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kevin Apeck, age 34, who tragically passed away after a scooter collision on September 26, 2025.

At approximately 4:57 p.m. on Friday, September 26th, Albany Police responded to the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and 24th Avenue following reports of a serious accident involving a scooter and a Ford F-150. Kevin, who had been riding his electric scooter, was found unconscious but breathing at the scene. He was transported to Albany General Hospital in critical condition before being transferred to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Despite medical efforts, Kevin sadly passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the Ford F-150 remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
